Call for Abstracts


The Organising Committee of the inaugural International Conference themed: Global Trends in Management, IT and Governance in an e-World (e-MIG 2017), to be co-hosted by the Open University of Mauritius (OU), Mauritius and the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s (UKZN) College of Law and Management Studies, South Africa would like to call for the submission of abstracts for this multidisciplinary conference.

The conference aims to bring together academics and researchers from a range of disciplines in the Management, Information Technology (IT), Law and Governance to share expertise and showcase global trends in an e-World. The Conference also serves as a platform for the development of leadership, capacity, and scholarship in the African region.

As part of the interdisciplinary nature of the conference, its proceedings will amongst others, focus on the following themes and sub-themes:

ABSTRACT FORMAT 

Anonymised Abstracts are invited for submission in the form of a Microsoft Word document or any editable document format of a minimum of 300 and a maximum of 500 words in English and by no later than 10 April 2017.

Abstracts must include a clear but brief indication of the purpose of the paper, its methodology, major or anticipated results and conclusions or implications. It should provide an indication of what the audience can expect from the paper and the presentation. Empirical, conceptual, local case studies or country studies are also encouraged.

Abstracts will be double blind reviewed by a review panel.  Authors of the abstracts which meet the review criteria will be invited to submit a full paper for review and presentation at the conference and notified of the abstract’s acceptance by 30th April 2017.

Authors of accepted papers will have a choice of having their paper published in the online Conference proceedings with the ISBN 978-0-620-75224-4 or submitting their paper directly to a journal of their choice for publication post the conference.

Non-presenting delegate:$350

Late Registration: Begins on 21 September 2017 and closes on 10 October 2017.

Presenting Delegate - Students: $300
Non-presenting delegate:$400

*Fees include attendance of the conference and the Gala Dinner to be hosted on the second day of the conference.
