Mr Perienen Appavoo is Senior Academic and heads the Research, Consultancy and Innovation Unit at the Open University of Mauritius. His particular area of research interest is in the field of ICT integration in education.

Dr Upasana Singh is a lecturer in the field of Information Systems and Technology at the School of Management, Information Technology and Governance at University of KwaZulu-Natal. She holds a PhD from UNISA.

Ms Tirvassen Assodah

Assodah Tirvassen is a senior lecturer at the Open University of Mauritius. Her area of specialisation is distance education in which she holds a Master’s degree from The University of London. During the past two decades, she has been much involved in the management and development of distance education programmes. For her continuous professional development as a distance education practitioner, she has been exposed to different distance education systems through visits or attachments namely at the Open University of UK and the Indira Gandhi National Open university. She is currently a PhD student of the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

Professor Brian McArthur

Professor Brian McArthur(PhD) is educated and broadly skilled in the fields of Information Systems, Education and IT Research. He has been the Academic Leader: Research and Higher Degrees in the School of Management, IT and Governance since 2013 and is currently acting as the Dean and Head of School.  

 
 
Ms Meera Gungea

Meera works as Lecturer at the Open University of Mauritius in the field of Sociology.  She is also the Progamme Manager of the PhD and DBA programmes at the University. Her research interest is centered mostly on behavioural aspects related to Open and Distance Learning.

Ms Devarasi Bellengere

Mrs Devarasi Bellengere is a lecturer in the field of Intellectual Property, Cyber Law and Corporate Law at the School of Law. She holds LLB (UDW) and LLM (UNISA) degrees and is currently a PhD candidate. She is also an admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Her research interests are in intellectual Property law and Internet law, specifically regulation, net neutrality and the Internet of Things

Professor Reddy has been in academia since 1980 having moved up the academic ranks over the years. Prof Reddy is an Alternate Associate Board member of the Commonwealth Local Government Forum (CLGF) headquartered in London and serves on its international advisory committee on research issues.
